I'm like a little kid....

I first heard Tommy Emmanuel in 2008 on YouTube. I remember the first video I came upon was "Guitar Boogie." My jaw hit the ground. I personally had never heard the acoustic guitar played like that. I couldn't wait to tell all my musician buddies about Tommy. I play keyboards, yet I'm obsessed with Tommy's guitar playing (like this website says). Every single day I check YouTube to see if there is any new video posts of Tommy. I'm like a little kid.
I first drove with my friends from Tampa to Jacksonville, Florida in February, 2009 to see him play. It was like no other musical experience I ever had....I was in the presence of a master.
Then in February, 2010 I drove from Tampa to Savannah, Georgia to see him...It was an amazing setting...Very small and intimate. I was sitting just a few feet away from the stage. I got to meet him after the concert. That specific day was very hard for me emotionally because my father suddenly passed away exactly 2 years before and Tommy's playing brought comfort to me. I let Tommy know that. It was a special night.
Luckily in July, 2010, Tommy came to St. Petersburg, Florida which is only 1/2 hour from my home.
I can't wait for the release of the new album-Little By Little.
