A Voice Grows in Brooklyn

What do you call an artist who writes and directs films exploring social justice issues in the gay community with an aim to decrease tensions? Answer: a high schooler. Specifically, this Brooklyn high school student, John Dargan. He talked to itsasicknessTV about what catches his eye and why he is compelled to put some of it into his lens. At an age when most people’s voices squeak awkwardly, John Dargan was successfully honing his artistic voice - which is like a thumbprint of the whole artist- his humor, wisdom, passions, and rhythms.
