Whippets

A member of the hound group, the whippet is a smaller version of the greyhound, also a sight-hound. Whippets are usually between 25-40lbs and are obscenely fast. These dogs are highly active for short bursts and then nap for a good portion of the day, making them one of the most ideal pets to own. Their fur is short and velvety, and although they do shed minimally, their dander is practically unseen. These dogs are easy to maintain, behave fantastically with children and other animals (although they can be tempted to be overly-mouthy with rodents and rabbits).
