I've been collecting vynil records for nearly 25 years. Seems they keep saying vynil is dying but it never seems to go away. I have 5,000+ records and am just beginning my collection. I love diggin' in the crates searching for old records. Sometimes I will look for hours and find nothing but the reward is when you find that rare gem. Vynil records sound better than CDs & CDs will be gone long before vynil records are. Vynil records have a certain character because of their analog format. Many people have given up their records because they believe that they are extinct or they no longer have a record player. Those people's losses are mine and other vynil record collectors gain.
