Arguably the original and best server wargame. The very familiar premise of building a village by increasing your resource fields' levels, then spending resources on infrastructure, then training troops and raiding neighbours for their resources. You don't have to be a maths genius but you do need to be logging in 5 - 10 times a day, from your laptop, mobile, or home and work computers...whatever, wherever. The graphics are functional and basic, the IGM and forum features are handy for communication... most Travianistas also use MSN, Skype et al for communications...and this is the thing... it was arguably one of the first true social networking communities from the days of dial up. Its global success is BECAUSE page loads are not too data heavy so you can play it on a mobile phone or on the most ancient piece of junk MMX processor old box machine running linux on dial up
