
There Will Be Blood is an American movie loosely based on the novel Oil! by Upton SInclair. It is more than a film, but a true masterpiece. Released in 2007, directed, written and co-produced by Paul Thomas Anderson, starring Daniel Day-Lewis ( Won the Oscar for his performance, and is arguably the greatest actor ever!). The plot is hard to follow at first because there is a lot going on, and everything isn't direct. The movie appears to have a dry and depressing mood. But if you've seen it more than once you realize the depth in the script and the devotion the actors give to their characters. Not to mention the almost too natural, dark humor throughout the film.
