It's the feel of dust under your feet at rehearsal. It's the thrill of finishing your first read through. It's hearing the audience laugh when you want them to and sometimes when you didn't expect them to. It's the sweat and the bruises and the bottle of asprin you keep on hand. It's that deep breath you take before you start your first scene opening night. Or it could be seeing the lights dim and hearing the band tune. It's seeing the actors totally immersed in their character. It's having the first notes of an aria sound exactly like you imagined them or even better. It's crying even though you knew they were going to die. It's joining in the standing ovation. It's the passion. It's the thrill. It's the rush of the theatre.
