There is nothing like cruising down a mountain on a snowboard. Some have described it as surfing the mountain. Some see snowboarding as it's own beast all together. I love being in my zone when I'm carving into the mountain snow with the edge of my board thinking of some tune that keeps me relaxed. When I'm in that zone everything bad just melts away and all there is is the board, the mountain, and me. There is also nothing like seeing a trail and having to anticipate and take what the trail gives you, so it is like you are in control but at the same time, the mountain is. When you get to the top of a mountain and you are above the clouds, the view is absolutely breathtaking and you never want to leave. This is quite possibly my main obsession and I always hate it when the season ends, even though I know that it will start back up in a matter of months.
