I have loved the Los Angeles Lakers since I was a kid & first saw Magic Johnson play for them in 1980. I still enjoy watching them play & I watch nearly every game on the NBA package through my cable provider. My favorite current player is Kobe Bryant who is attempting to lead the team to their 2nd straight title this year. Their owner Jerry Buss generally puts a very competitive team on the floor which makes it easy to root for them. After all everyone loves a winner. Celebrities flock to their games by the droves & they are the best show in town. I dont live in Los Angeles so I catch much grief from people who think I'm just a front-runner & say I should root for the home town Warriors who I've never liked. I will always be a Lakers fan & one of my biggest thrills was going to Staples Center, their fairly new stadium, a few years ago to watch them live in a catered box suite. Go Lakers!!!
