The image of the housewife- love it or hate it- is one that we are all familiar with. They cook and clean and drink martinis at noon. My mother and grandmother, both workaholic feminists think I'm insane for choosing Home Economics as my major in college. I think it was a stroke of brilliance- except that it led to jobs.
