A native of New Orleans (Metairie, LA if you want to be exact), in the early 80's just after graduating from high school she was a headliner and emcee in New Orleans comedy clubs. Small parts on sitcoms and in movies followed before getting her own show on ABC. Soon after that... another show on CBS, a gig hosting the Emmy's, the voice of a fish in a Pixar cartoon, and finally a talk show.
