A branch of magic with a strong emphasis on storytelling, often employing antique or simulated artifacts, and usually performed for smaller audiences. Bizarre Magic frequently has a dark or macabre theme, but this is not always the case. Bizarre Magic often is designed to leave spectators with the impression that there are other magical forces at work besides those having to do with the performer's skill or dexterity. One goal of using storytelling in Bizarre Magic is to try to create a greater emotional impact in the spectator than what would normally be achieved if the magic were presented only as a visual illusion or puzzle.
