Michael Alig

Michael Alig was the leader of the infamous Club Kids in NYC in the late 1980's and early 1990's. His work as a party promoter for Peter Gatien's Limelight club garnered much media attention as he brought the club kid scene to prominence. He was also known for his outlaw parties and weekly Disco 2000 parties. However, Alig is perhaps most remembered for the murder of drug dealer and fellow club kid Angel Melendez. He is currently serving his sentence in prison and writing an autobiography entitled Aligula.
