How it all started
I got hooked on Lost in the middle of season 3 when I ate some bad shrimp. I was bed ridden for a week and I just sort of rocked through the seasons and when I was well again, there was nothing on my plate except for Lost.
It just takes you above and beyond your average television show. It’s a soap opera but in the jungle. That is what is so great about it because for the longest time you would be watching a soap opera and you say, "this is ok but where are the back ground noises of tse tse flies and monkeys," and now we have that.
There is not something specific about Lost where you say, oh that is great, that is why I love Lost. There is this combination of all of these things that you can’t even quite figure out, you put it together, you mush it into a 45 min block of prime time television. It captivates you in a way that you don’t even know, I think Mash tried to do it, but never could and if Mash took place on an island, I think we would have a different story.
It's a lot of beach front property and a lot of beach front mystery.
It’s not really about anything. We are starting to find out, and as we near towards the finale, and if you haven’t watched Lost yet, spoiler alert, it isn’t about anything. It is about you, It is about me, It’s about general awareness of love and gravity and electromagnetism. The 3 greatest forces in the world.
