if i won :)

if i won :)

that's a picture taken at seacliff state beach, about 2 miles from us. nice place. :)

so, if won 300 million dollars, here's what i think i'd do:

1. secure the ticket, sign it, double check it, and find out how to redeem it.
2. get one of my fancy lawyer friends to help me coordinate it all.
3. try not to tell anyone, and if someone finds out, tell them i only won, like, $100,000, and they got the names mixed up. :)

ok, now the good stuff!

4. make the douga take a vacation so we can make plans, but not quit cause we need the insurance, until we know how the money is going to be handled.

5. spend a week at the Avila Inn in Avila Beach, relaxing and planning things.
6. rejoin the CSA - community supported agriculture. we haven't been able to afford it for a while, but we love getting a weekly box of fresh organic produce. though, i have to say, J&P Produce is great, 'cause we can order that occasionally and they deliver! :)
7. look into getting another, better house, but not too big or elaborate, cause i don't want huge property taxes. that's an easy way to lose it :(
8. go fishing a lot more
9. knit a lot more
10. have a personal chef that is sorta more like my shopper/sous chef and create awesome things to eat all fresh and healthy, yay!
11. have a private party at asilomar conference center, near monterey/carmel, and pay for my favorite friends to visit and celebrate.
12. go to a lot of concerts, plays, shows, and movies.
13. maybe travel a little, take a cruise, or one of those culinary tours of china with martin yan.

oh yeah, give some $$ to my brothers and sister, and douga's brother. maybe to our nieces and nephews for school. not my mom, though, she is really bad managing money, so i'll just give her stuff she needs now and then. douga's mom could use some $$ though.

what else?

i'll think on it.

what about you?

The next time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I imply, I do know it was my choice to read, however I really thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you would fix for those who werent too busy in search of attention.

He also won the backing of former President George H. W. Bush.

oh cool. I'll come and listen to you!

i suppose we could try to knock some of the items off our lists that are doable now :) or maybe one of us can win, and we can share. :)

you reminded me of something else for my list - learn how to play klezmer fiddle. i play a little, but i wanna play good. :)

Looks like you and I need ridiculously less than 300 milion $ for all this ;-)

A year-long sabbatical from work, for a start. What I need most is TIME.
Secure the $$ and our futures. Find out what the deal is with those escalating taxes that make our celebrities flee the country ;)
Take much better care of my son.
Take much better care of mind (!) and body
Tidy up the apartment I live in (or move) and my faraway childhood house (<3 keep it).
Find a regular helper (baby-sitter/governess, cook, house cleaner)
Go to concerts, movies, plays, exhibitions, talks... I've missed all of it.
TRAVEL (1° places where I have friends and/or long to return, 2° places where (awesome musical and/or cultural) stuff is happening, 3° places I've dreamt of seeing; keep avoiding places where you can't mix with the 'locals', and places where women don't enjoy the same rights as I do)
Do what it takes to get foreign language diplomas, as I should have all along. See where I'm going from there. Having taken better care of the mind I should have an epiphany about my added value, right? ;)
Resume music lessons for myself as well 'cause I'm a frustrated musician.
Give....(don't let your left hand know what the right is doing - but it'll be doing something)
