Ya know - as big a Tennant fan as I am (see my Doctor Who obsession on here!), I think this production is lacking. The real gem here is watching Patrick Stewart reprise his role as the King (following his 1980 BBC turn alongside Derek Jacobi's Hamlet.) Stewart was brilliant then, but - wow - what 30 years can do! (Jacobi, incidentally, starred opposite Tennant as arch-nemesis, The Master, in the Doctor Who episode "Utopia." What an incestuous little world is British entertainment...!
