Glee appealed to a massive 12.28m for its second season premiere on Tuesday, early viewing figures show.
The episode, titled 'Audition', aired in a new 8pm slot on Fox and centred around the New Directions' attempts to recruit new students to bolster their competition performances. Glee grabbed the demographic crown, with a 5.5 rating with adults 18-49.
