Satan woke me up again at 3am.
He told me to hop up and look at my ex-boyfriend's Myspace page. AND I DID IT. I look at it constantly and it makes me cry. I used to hop up at 3am and look at my ex-boyfriend's MySpace page. I would look at it constantly, day and night, and cry.
And yet I would look at it again and again and again. And it would make me cry every time. Watching his every move. His every comment. His every friend addition. I was essentially, with or without his awareness, stalking him online, with the ocassional teary-eyed email to boot. IT WAS SO SICK AND WRONG AND YET I COULD NOT STOP.
For awhile it just became more habit than anything else. I didn't know how else to fill my time. Sometimes I wondered if I would look at everyday for the rest of my life. That would be so lame.
But then he deleted his account. And although I missed my daily ritual, I felt relieved. Was I free? Could I finally make the needed mental break? He had already moved across the country. Out of sight was not enough for me. I needed out of mind. Maybe now I could be free!
Nothing can encourage an unhealthy obsession as well as the internet.
But without MySpace, it got harder to remember what he looked like and my feelings did actually begin to be at a manageable level.
I tried googling him but that didn't reveal much. He doesn't have much of an internet presence, without MySpace.
But then he got a Facebook account, so I naturally started looking at that instead.
And now I have pretty much abandoned MySpace. But I love Facebook. But then I just love social networking, it gives me the illusion of a real social life, without having to actually ever talk to anyone.
But I no longer like MySpace. Let's face it, the layout it sub par. Everything looks like it was made by a beginner and MySpace has never helped anyone ever.
I take that back. I'll tell you who MySpace has helped: PEDOPHILES.
So, way to go MySpace, for ruining my life and helping the pedophiles.

Yet, I like Facebook now, which is just a prettier version of MySpace.
