Partners In Health (PIH), Health Care for the Poor

I highly recommend reading Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. It is a wonderful introduction to the work of Paul Farmer, co-founder of Partners in Health and an extraordinary medical anthropologist. Farmer has spurred my interest in public health more than anyone else.
