since the cummander went on twitter, i've neglected to write on here about his blog. my thoughts have been reduced to 140 characters. but it's the cummander's fault, he was the only reason i went on twitter anyways.
but i came back to say i liked his latest blog entry. what he says about religion and politics is very true, if a bit naive. there is a sort of blockheadedness that permeates american culture that allows hypocrisy to co-exist with the idea of freedom. a kind of bully-child-like attitude that whatever we do is right no matter how illogical it is. that's not gonna change. at least not in our lifetime. i think it would take a HUGE blow to the american ego, something even bigger than 911, to dislodge that entitled attitude.
i really should come on here more. it's nice to have the freedom of extended thought. :)
